PCOD (Polycystic ovary disorder) Causes and Symptoms

What is Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome?

PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) or PCOD ( Polycystic ovary disorder) is a relatively common hormonal disorder that causes a number of different symptoms in women of reproductive age.  It can happen to anyone and anytime. Science has found no root cause of PCOD.

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal imbalance in women, which causes problems during the menstrual cycle and in pregnancy that sometimes results in a fatality. Though the genetics of PCOS is not fully understood, early diagnosis and treatment can prevent long-term effects.

Women were born with the most magical power of this universe which is “Birth”. Every woman deserves this phase of life. Modern lifestyle is creating dangerous complications in women as well as men’s body organs.

Cases of PCOD is rapidly increasing day by day. Every next woman I met is having this ovarian cysts problem. The first thing you should know is what is causing you this syndrome and their signs. So you can deal with it more consciously.

I’ll share some of PCOD symptoms and causes.

Causes

Gene and Heredity

True that! Gene plays a very important role in having this syndrome but it’s not necessary. You can have no symptom of PCOD and you can live with it without getting diagnosed.

Obesity

Weight gain is a most seen cause in having PCOD. You can have PCOD by having excess weight and you can also have excess weight because of PCOD. The overweight body will lead to having multiple cysts on your ovaries and cause you many health issues as well which will worsen the condition. So the first thing you can do is to control your weight. Get up and exercise. Clearly, there is no other way to save yourself and get healed.

Hormonal Imbalance

This is the most important cause of PCOD. Hormones are your body’s chemical messengers. Produced in the endocrine glands, these powerful chemicals travel around your bloodstream telling tissues and organs what to do. They help control many of your body’s major processes, including metabolism and reproduction. Imbalance means either you have too much of hormones going on your bloodstreams or you are lacking in that case. These tiny changes can affect your body in serious ways and this is surely a reminder to take control.

Poor Diet

You are what you eat and this is the truth that fits your life. If you do not care for your body and give it all the over-processed, fried, fatty, junk or Unnutritional food all the time then your body will react somehow and it can turn out to be one of the issues called PCOD. Eat fresh, all color and healthy food to live healthy as well as happy.

Smoking and Alcohol

Smoking or any kind of drug is bad for health in so many ways and you cannot deal with it until you quit all these injurious habits. It can be the biggest and the only cause in polycystic ovary syndrome.

Stress

With all the above causes stress and tension can directly lead to hormonal imbalance and then PCOD. I have examined many girls and women having PCOD with only this cause. Stress is no way good and now you need to control your mind with the help of meditation and some yoga.

Symptoms

Facial Hair

In the female body, there are male hormones called Testosterone. These hormones should be balanced, Imbalance of this hormone can cause facial hair growth on women to face. You should not avoid this symptom and get yourself checked and treated.

Irregular Mensuration

The most common symptom of having PCOD. Due to the cyst on your ovary, your ovary does not release an egg or be late every month so the mensuration cycle can be irregular or stopped. In some cases, there is no sign of irregular periods and still, one can be diagnosed with this syndrome.

Weight Gain

Yes! It is one of the causes and symptoms as well. Clearly weight gain is no way a good sign for your body and you should not take it in a light way. Your body metabolism and reproduction process get harm by gaining weight and that’s how you invite many others disease as well. So, Do some workout.

Depression, Mood Swings and Anxiety

If you have mood swings for no reason, which take you too think a lot and gave anxiety. There are chances this is because of hormonal imbalance and your body is not feeling good and healthy inside. Either you can have depression due to PCOD or you have depression by PCOD. Both way possible.

Acne

You body try to show you with signs that something is wrong inside and it should be taken care of. Acne is one of those signs. Sometimes it’s because of  Unhygienic conditions but many times especially if it occurs always in the same area then there is something to be worried about.
