To live a healthy life you must take care of your body as well as your mind. Believe it or not but both the mind and the body work together and effect together. The time is changing and people are getting busier with this, the physical and the mental state of a body are suffering.
The healthy living is within your reach and you can start any time soon. It’s never too late to care for your body. It won’t take you a long time or many things. It’s what you do every day and you can add/less some habits to make it work.
In this blog, I am sharing my 7 habits for better, happy and healthy living.
1. Drink lots and lots of water
Yes!!! First and the most important step to keep your body hydrated. Especially in the morning. Your first thing to do in the day should be to drink two glass of water. Warm/Cold/Mild any temperature you like but DRINK. You can add some ingredients in your water for better health benefits:
- Aloe vera
- Tulsi leaves
- Neem leaves
20 min yoga every day keeps every pain away. Just 20 min of yoga practice and pranayama is enough to keep you go for the whole day actively. Youll release every stiffness and tension your muscles are holding after the whole night sleep. The evening is also preferable. Take time for yourself.
The most important meal of the day is breakfast and should never be skipped. It keeps you full of energy all day. During a busy morning, it’s easy to let breakfast fall low in your list of priorities, but taking just a few minutes to have something to eat can really make a difference to your day.
4. Stay away from alcohol and smoking
I always mention in my blogs that how injurious smoking and alcohol for your body. I think everyone knows this and should not be taken lightly. Such bad habits invite many diseases in your body. Try to completely avoid them.
5. Take enough sleep
Sleep for at least 7-8 hours a day. Do not overwork or stay up late at night. Your body will respond to you in the same way you respond to it. Show some care and be mindful for your action towards it. Sleep well to recharge and relax. Try to avoid naps in the afternoon and go early to bed for better functioning of mind and body. Naps are the reminder to take rest as well as signs of future problems. If you feel to take naps in between the daytime or you take regular naps then this is a warning to your system.
6. Eating habits
Increase the time of eating and decrease the amount of food on your plate. Avoid eating food in front of the television. You should be grateful for every meal you are having. Eat mindfully. Chew your food properly and drink water after half an hour. Add varieties to your meal. I will suggest you add all the colors of food to your plate. Take all the important nutrients including Carbs, protein, Vitamins, Minerals, and Fat. To all Vegetarians take enough amount of protein in your diet by nuts and other protein-rich food. Have a happy and cruelty-free meal. 🙂 Always have water and salad at the starting of your meal. Do not eat junk and food full of salt or sugar. Do not eat late at night.
7. Keep fast once a week
Your body needs a day off to cleanse your system and remove toxic. Take a liquid whole day like fruit juices, vegetable juices, and soups. It will help you fight many other digestion problems too. Fasting has been one of my favorite way to remove toxins from the body. Try it!
